Is your computer infected with spyware?
The fact is most computers are infected even if you don't know it. Many times a Spyware infection is evident from advertising pop up's, Other times it the only sign   might be slow computer performance. 

So what Does Spyware Do? One of the  things spyware does is track what you look at on the internet and then deliver pop up advertising to your computer on the types of things you browse. Some spyware programs are put on your computer as a "Trojan" which means it appears to be a friendly program.

Many "Trojans" do things such as extract information off of your computer such as your e-mail address. This is just one of the many ways you might get a lot of junk e-mail.

Can you ever be 100% safe from spyware? I doubt anyone can ever be 100% safe not even me, But there are a few things you can do to help prevent spyware. Below you will find some helpful tips.

• Use a "safer" Browser
  Use a safer internet browser such as Firefox or Opera, these browsers are said to be "safer" than internet explorer.
  
  
  
• Scan your computer regularly
  Scan regularly with Anti-Spyware programs. There are many on the market today some work and some do not but 1 thing for sure no single Anti-Spyware

• Careful Surfing
  Becareful where you surf on the internet, Many sites are set up just to be spyware traps to get you infected. Many sites actually make money from selling your E-Mail address it harvests from you.

• What if I get infected and cannot get rid of it?
  If you  get infected and cannot get rid of it simply contact "the Geek"; from the contact page here on the web site to schedule your house call and get it removed. Some spyware digs very deep into your computer and takes some special knowledge and tools to remove it.
